The castings and lenses for these beacons are made by Railroad Supply. They add a really nice detail to your engine and can be made even better by lighting it. Super bright white LEDs and an appropriate electric circuit can be supplied to make it flash in a prototypical way.  I have one on my GP30 with 4 LEDs and it works and looks great. Below are pictures of it with the lens on and one showing the two base sizes.
